About us

Our publishing house was established in the 1960s under the name of Baptist Publications to ‎develop Christian and educational resources in Arabic that meet the needs of the Arabs in ‎Lebanon and various countries in the Middle East. In 1992 the vision was renewed.  Our name became Dar Manhal Al Hayat (meaning “house of the source of life”).  A lighthouse to the Middle East our products are distributed throughout Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, Sudan and beyond.

We publish Arab authors as well as renowned works translated from other languages.  Partnering with individuals, schools and ministries we print, publish, and distribute a large variety of resources.

The Gateway Bookstore in Sin el Fil, Beirut is our showroom for the products we release as well as a large supply of books in English and Arabic, music, videos and a variety of creative gifts.

Our talented design team also offers services for Corporate Identity, invitations, posters and more of your design needs.

Dar Manhal Al Hayat operates under the umbrella for The Lebanese Society for Education and Social Development (LSESD) a non-profit organization whose board of trustees is dedicated to serve the region by providing opportunities for Education and Social Development.

As a non-profit we provide our publications at varying subsidized rates in order for our resources to be accessible to the region.
